To the right of the pier as you arrive on the island, this beach is little used by bathers except at its far end, in front of Sensi Paradise Resort.

Mae Haad Bay - Koh Tao It can be quite noisy as taxi boats overnight here, and all boats arriving on Koh Tao follow a channel through the coral to the piers.

On the plus side, this activity does give the sun seeker plenty to watch, and numerous photographic opportunities.

The sand is soft and pale, the water clear. Good for kayaking rather than serious swimming, there is some good snorkeling on the rocks at the far end and a small wreck, visible at low tide, provides something different. May Haad is ideal for those who want to be near the center of town.
