The most popular areas for family accommodation are Tanote Bay and Shark Bay, which is where several of the better equipped resorts are located. Haad Tien Beach Resort

Haad Tien Beach Resort is located in the palm groves on the main beach of Shark Bay. It is located on one of the nicest properties on the island. They have a restaurant, swimming pool, in-room massage, a dive center, and large grassy grounds. The large flat grounds and easy access to the beach make this a great choice for family vacations. Montalay Beach Resort is a very kid friendly option for family holidays. They have a Play Room next to the restaurant as well as a swimming pool, and easy access directly to the beach of Tanote Bay. Tanote Bay is on the quieter side of the island and is a bit isolated. This area is not recommended if you are looking for night life. The Resort features a good restaurant with Thai and western options, a convenience store, diving center, swimming pool, beachfront location, and massage services.
